Similarities: -Both anime involves a high school life. -Both anime can make you cry. -Both anime's main protagonists may/may have feelings with each other. Differences: -Kimi no Na wa is somewhat supernatural, in a way that their souls is being switched to one another while Koe no Katachi they are not. Many locations are real locations btw, you can look online the comparisons. The original soundtrack by Radwimps is magnificent. I listen to it long after watching the movie and it works really well, so well that in fact some scenes were modified to fit the music better.

Kimi no na wa was without a doubt the best film/animation released in Japan in the year 2016. This animation earned more than 18 billion yen at the box office, ranked first on Myanimelist and could be nominated for an Oscar. There's no way to watch this movie without getting emotional, and you probably agree or are very excited to watch it.
